Missing Links In Yoga?
People have often told me Yoga was the missing link in their lives. Great! But, can there also be missing links in Yoga?
If you have a Yoga practice at home or somewhere else, I assume you want to get the absolute most from it, so you need this eBook and video course.
This eBook and video course are primarily based on what people and teachers have told me about their Yoga practices and what I've seen and experienced in my practice with muscle & skeletal issues over the years.
First, I'm not a Yoga teacher or practitioner.
So, who in heaven is this guy, and what does he think he can add to my Yoga practice!?
I do understand; I'll explain.
My name is Kai Kjartan Høgberg, from Norway.
I was trained as a Massage Therapist in 2003. I graduated in Anatomy Structural Integration in 2006, so helping people in pain and movement restrictions has been my career for almost two decades.
I have assisted some of the best teachers and taught my workshops to other professionals, including chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, Yoga teachers, personal trainers, and others, nationally and internationally.
I have a strong passion for movement, and I inspire my clients and students to play with movement throughout the day, wherever they are.
Formerly active in several sports, such as cross-country skiing, speed skating, athletics, Tae Kwon Do, and scuba diving.
I have worked with various athletes, from novice and up to world champion and Olympic level.
Now I want to share my thoughts about making Yoga even better than it already is.
Feel free to do whatever you want with this information, but you'll notice a difference if you implement some of it in your practice.
Only I intend to share helpful and valuable information that can make your Yoga practice more enjoyable, NOT to criticize Yoga.
Breathing
In Yoga, there's often a lot of focus on the breath. But of course, this is great, but I want to share a different view on breathing that might be obscure to you.
I'm also explaining how to create more space around your breath.
Feet & joints
The feedback often is that there needs to be more focus on the feet, and that's why the feet are included here.
It took millions of years to evolve into the human species we are today, and during this time, our bodies have formed to allow us to move around only with the help of our feet.
Every joint is supposed to deal with your body weight; thus, they need to be robust, mobile, and stable.
The more you know how they work, the more you'll learn to turn limitations into possibilities.
By taking super good care of your feet and joints, everything you do will come out and feel better!
Think fascia/connective tissue, NOT muscles!
Learning to think, understand, and approach the connective tissue network rather than your muscles will help you tremendously in your Yoga practice and everyday life.
This tissue is very often poorly understood, so I've added much practical information on how to work with it to gain more quality movement that will benefit your Yoga practice.
Shoulders
I know there's focus and great information on shoulders in Yoga, but you'll benefit if you add what I talk about in this eBook.
The shoulder joint is the most mobile in the body and, unfortunately, the weakest and most accessible to injury.
I will show you precisely what you can do to get shoulders that will serve you well.
Why am I so assertive, you might ask?
Because it works!
Posture without the need for holding.
Yoga and posture go hand in hand. So knowing how you can effectively work on this at home makes everything more accessible when you come to Yoga class.
